So back to my regular character this week to continue his story. I find the more I play this game the more cynical I get. You want to be friendly to people, you want to help people if you can... but when push comes to shove, its either him/her or me. The more times that I find my character dies the more I seem to lean to shoot first and ask questions later. Anyone else? Today I also find the need to call out DayZ Hackers. The incident didn't happen to me directly ...

So lastnight I was playing on an alt character and really wanted to relay the actions of the evening and get your reactions and suggestions for what, if anything I could have done better. My alt had died a few days ago and I had only jumped in and decided that I was going to go into Elektro as a fresh spawn, really what did I have to loose? since I had started close to there and I'd never made the attempt at going in. I moved along the coast, I know ...
So last night I stayed up for a bit to watch my favorite Youtube DayZ squad duke it out on their live broadcast. These guys are the reason I purchased Arma II and play DayZ. So a quick shout out to the guys that I follow: Sacriel (Sacriel42), OshiSeven, and Fhrope. You guys are an inspiration to all DayZ players! So last night I had Sacriel’s stream up on one monitor and Oshi’s up on the other. On the stream these guys were counter sniping around in the trees on the Northern ...

Day 2 Recap – Afternoon After lunch it was time to get a move on. I could see a medium size town ahead. The road sign said it was Mogilevka. I move around the north side of the town searching for any kind of loot I could find. BANG! I dove to the ground and laid there prone waiting for the next shot. I then realized that I didn’t hear the bullets go by, just the weapon firing it. I don’t think it was aimed at me, but you can never really tell. Not ...
On another gaming forum that I frequent I was talking about my time playing this Mod and a response/question about the game I received was worth putting out there to everyone to read. I had posted: Posted Yesterday, 07:56 AM I prefer to think of it as realistic... I'm not sure if I'd call it tactical... Its funny though, for something that takes into account real time, I never thought I'd enjoy just travelling through the wilderness hoping that no one else sees me lol. ...

I've been out of the OGame for a few months now and I'm less stressed about not having to worry about whether my fleet is going to be there when I log in next. I've moved on to other games. I've recently come across the DayZ mod for Arma II (+Arma II: Operation Arrowhead expansion required to play) and am having a blast. It has just the right balance of tense situations and loot grind in a sandbox zombie appocolypse spanning 250 Km of a Russian island. I've decided ...

Wheatnation date 20120803.1041, Personal Log of Prince Robert Auckland Today has another good start. We laid another 6 Battleship and 12 Cruiser hulls down at our shipyards. We've had to move our main yards out to Wheat-thins to ensure operational security. We used to rely on the Thins Yard for light fighters and heavy fighters and the odd prodcution of Cruisers when the space was available. With the recent attack that kill my brother I felt it necessary to move the entire ...
Wheatnation date 20120703.0931, Personal Log of Prince Robert Auckland Some good news this morning, yesterday late in the evening we sent out 3 recon patrols. These three patrols were sent to gather information on the area around Wheat-thins. Two of the patrols returned on time; the first with nothing to report. The second reported a faint distress signal which they investigated. Upon arriving at the location where the signal was coming from they found the remains of a ...
Wheatnation date 20120503.1335, Personal Log of Prince Robert Auckland I have been on Wheaties for a week now. It has been long enough to know who on the Council are friends and which are enemies. Lord Gabrel of Wheatgerm seems hellbent on being opposed to anything that is put forward and he has clearly gotten ahold of some lackies on the Council. Now if only I could figure out how to dismiss them from the Council with out alienating the commons. I should ...
Wheatnation date 20120103.1253, Personal Log of Prince Robert Auckland So its a good thing I took my Marine detail. As we exited my cutter we were abushed by 15 men with military grade equipment and good training. We lost 3 marines but the quick thinking of the cutter pilot saved us. With out orders Lt Groplin engaged the enemy with the anti-personel lasers on the cutter. They must have been expecting a standard shuttle instead of a military cutter. Sgt ...
